Manufactured according to EN 683-1, EN 683-2 and EN 683-3, heavy plates by Marcegaglia Plates for quenching and case-hardening are designed to ensure high mechanical strength, surface hardness and core toughness, essential requirements for components subject to dynamic loads and wear.
The range includes quenched steels such as C40, C45 and C45E, available in the +A, +N and +S conditions, along with alloy steels 42CrMo4, 41Cr4 and 25CrMo4, ideal for manufacturing shafts, gears and structural parts requiring precision and long-lasting reliability.
The offer is completed by 16MnCr5 and 20MnCr5 case-hardening steels, also available in the +A, +N and +S conditions, perfect for components that require an extremely hard surface combined with a tough and ductile core. These are accompanied by equivalent grades AISI 1045 and SAE 1040 / 1045, meeting international requirements for specialized applications.
