MARCEGAGLIA PLATES
Marcegaglia Plates is the Italian company of the Marcegaglia group rolling heavy quarto plates.
The production is located in the dedicated unit of San Giorgio di Nogaro (Udine) and in Marcegaglia Palini & Bertoli plant, also in San Giorgio di Nogaro, recent acquisition that will lead Marcegaglia Plates to be one of the leading players in heavy quarto plates rolling, with a total production of 1 million tons per year.
From here, Marcegaglia Plates distributes its range all over the world, with outstanding logistic flexibility.
Thanks to its strategic location it is able use road haulage, with access to thenearby A4 motorway just 4 km away, rail transport with its own internal branch line and, equally important, sea freight through a dock on the river Corno for vessels of up to 5,000 tonnes and links to the nearby ports of Monfalcone (Gorizia), Trieste and Venice for larger ships.
The unique positioning of Marcegaglia Plates among Italian plate producers is based on its 30-year-plus experience in the steelmaking industry and the sound technical knowledge of Marcegaglia’s trained staff.
